Soulshine - Michael Franti

When I lived in Brisbane a few of my closest friends took me to see Michael Franti and life was never the same after, I am forever endebted to Donna and Vanessa... This man truly knows how to lift the vibe and is a modern day peace warrior.

Silly Short Films 2006/7

Inspired By Malvern 2006

A couple of very short clips lifted off the 'Inspired by Malvern' vj mix which was created and performed to British classical music featuring Elgar, an artist also inspired by the magic of Malvern. The music on these clips was kindly created by www.judobeing.com. One day my site will be showing more shorts at www.coresnfx.com

Beautiful bodybuilder Sam kindly caught the sunset on the hills with me so that I could create an image of a man with a golden halo a golden light showing his beauty for a poem by one of the dymock poets. This is a short stopgap animation from that moment which happened to be included in my 2006 Vj mix 'INspired by Malvern' performed as part of the 'Autumn in Malvern Music Festival'

Exedous Trance Festival (filmed 2003 and edited 2007)

Stripped bare; Connected to the source, fire dancing naked with skilful abandonment. This fire show has to be the most spectacular show I have seen in 15 years of working with and documenting fire. The elements of the production and visuals were so magically sewn together. The endless list of people and organizations putting together this awesome event included the legendary Mutoid Waste Company. I had been asked by Cathy the producer to film the show for the festival did so from the side of a bank at 2am, the camera is hand held for the duration of the show, so sorry if a bit shaky here and there. I loved the fact that there is no choreography within the dancing, its totally free expression of the moment which happened to be under a full moon by the side of a lake at Bald Rock in Bonoo Bonoo National Park. This amazing fire show was created by a skilled team working for Exodus Psy-Trance Festival back in 2003. Exodus is on every year here is their site http://www.exoduslivefestival.com/
